MEET OLLIE THE OILLIPHÉISTOllie is the team mascot of Mumford Academy. An Oilliphéist is a Celtic sea-serpent that is known within Irish folklore to belong to the seas of Ireland. Oillie has been chosen as our mascot as he represents a powerful creature, symbolizing renewal. At Mumford Academy, we wish to inspire and instill power and confidence in our dancers, empowering them to continuously learn and keep trying if they make mistakes.
